About Alumni
The Mahatma Jyotiba Fule College of Social work has a very active and vivacious alumni association. In the year 2023, it became a registered entity under Mumbai Public Trust Act 1950 and Societies Act. 1860 in the name of of YASHAWANT Alumni Association of M.J.F.C.S.W. Yavatmal Presently a Governing Committee elected for five year (2028) by the general body of the association is managing the affairs of the association.

- To serve as a platform to connect college, alumni, and students to have a better interaction with each other for excellence in social work practice and social work academic.
Mission:
- To promote a lifelong relationship and create a platform for the exchange emerging knowledge of social work field
- To involve alumni in mentoring and up-skilling of new generation social work students
- To promote Student-Alumni interaction for career development and guidance.
- To promote a sense of pride in being a social work practitioner
Aims &Objectives :
- To promote a sustained sense of belonging to the Alma Mater among the Alumni by being in regular contact with them.
- To provide channel of communication for encouraging, fostering and promoting close relations among the alumni themselves.
- To establish a support system in the institute through organizing various programmes, activities and contributing, sharing current trends, challenges and issues in the context of professional social work field.
- To establish supportive and healthy system for the needy and deserving social work student through organizing, establishing the special scholarships; also announcing special prizes, awards for the outstanding performance by the students of the college in innovative research project work, other professional activity etc.
- To contributing in the infrastructural development of the collage as well as the development of the curriculum and learning process of the trainee of social work.
- To provide professional service of organizing and conducting various survey like field-based assessment, need assessment, evaluation survey, professional development need assessment surveys.
- Provide extension services to the government and non-governmental organizations for social development programme and activities.
- To provide a place to sharing, exchanging views and ideas through organizing group discussion, seminar, symposium, training, workshop for completion a professional expectation, development of the social work trainee as well as professional social work practitioner.
- To publish or assist in the publication of The YASHWANT ALUMNI ASSOCIATION of M.J.F.C.S.W.YTL. alumni dictionary, Yashwant newsletter, books and /or journals by members of the YASHVANT ALUMNI ASSOCIATION.
