President’s Desk

Dear Student,
While I was active in the progressive movement based on the values of equality, freedom, fraternity, and justice promoted by Tathagat Goutham Buddha, Sant Kabir, Mahatma Phule, Chatrapati Shahu Maharaj and Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar, I found that the participants in social movements are generally from the economically backward Bahujan community.
Professional social work education has been planted by our organization with the main objective of ensuring that the participation of the youth in social movements should be based on values, principles of the Indian constitution, and scientific knowledge of social work, and that they do not have to face financial difficulties in future life due to their involvement in social work—social movements as social workers. We are happy to state that, for the last three decades, these institutions have been instrumental in providing opportunities for thousands of students from marginalized sections of our society, aspiring for quality higher education, mostly from the rural background. We sincerely hope that our educational society continues to provide quality education and contribute not only towards improving the educational standards of our Vidarbha region, our state Maharashtra, but also towards building a nation of the dreams of our leaders, our icons.
