Subhedar Ramji Ambedkar Education Society, Wardha, was established in 1992 by the founder President, the well-known social activist Hon. Dinesh Baliram Sawai, and registered under the Society’s Registration Act, 1860 (F1603, Date: 30/09/1992) and the Bombay Public Trust Act, 1950 (Mh.132/92, Date: 12/08/1992). Office address At Hon.       In 1993, under The Maharashtra Public University Act and affiliated with Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University, Amravati and the recognition of the Maharashtra Government’s Directorate of Social Welfare. The Society constituted Mahatma Jyotiba Fule College of Social Work at Yavatmal. In 2006, the Social Welfare Department of the Maharashtra State Government recognized it as a Grants-in-Aid State Government Sponsored Social Work College. The Mahatma Jyotiba Fule College of Social Work, Yavatmal, was recognized as having Buddhist Minority Educational Institution status in July 2008. Now recently the Government of Maharashtra notification dated March 1, 2024, Mahatma Jyotiba Fule College of Social Work, Yavatmal, has been transferred to the Department of Higher and Technical Education of the Government of Maharashtra. In 2023 Mahatma Jyotiba Fule College of Social Work has been accredited “B” Grade with CGPA 2.34 by NAAC. The Institution has applied for recognising under section 2f /12b of UGC and it is in under process.
